여러분은 일할 때가 즐거워요, 쉴 때가 즐거워요? 당연히 쉴 때죠. 학교에서도 50분 수업하고 10분 쉬는데, 정말 후딱 지나가죠. 그 '쉬는 시간'의 즐거움을 여수엑스포가 마련했어요. 열심히 일한 지구인에게 드리는 선물로요.
(Are you enjoying work or rest? Of course it will be the time to rest. In school we have 50 minutes class and 10 minutes break, and it passes quickly. The enjoyment of the 'rest time' is ready in Yeosu Expo. It is the present to the earthling who is working hard.)
모차르트는 당구를 치면서 아름다운 선율을 떠올렸고, 안데르센은 어린이들과 어울려 놀며 동화의 실마리를 얻었다고 하네요. 여수 엑스포에서 환상적인 명품 공연을 즐기며, 삶의 활력과 여유를 얻지 않으시겠어요?

6월 6일 엑스포를 다녀온 사람은 알 거예요. 그날 오후 2시 '엑스포홀'에서 열린 아세안 10개국의 전통문화공연이 준 감동을요. 특히 베트남 공연단이 '단바우'라는 전통악기로 노사연의 <만남>을 연주할 때는 박수가 터졌잖아요. 음악이 우리를 어떻게 하나로 묶는가를 실감했어요.
(The people who went to Expo on the June 6th may know. The great moving performance from the traditional culture performance of Asian 10 countries at 2 o'clock on the day in 'Expo Hall'! Especially, when the Vietnamese performers played <the meeting> of No Sayeon with their traditional instrument named of 'Danbau,' everyone cheered. It was a real experience of how music bind us together.)
여수엑스포를 '모두가 하나 되는 문화박람회'라고 하는 것은 다 까닭이 있어요. 세계 각국의 공연이 이루어지는 '엑스포홀'을 비롯하여, 국내외 아티스트들의 명품 공연이 이어지는 '천막극장', 어린이 체험 프로그램이 이어지는 '어린이극장'은 최고의 문화를 선보이는 최고의 실내 공연장이거든요.
(There is a reason the Yeosu Expo is being called 'the cultural Expo in oneness'. Including the 'Expo Hall' with performances from all over the world, 'Tent Theater' with continuous masterpiece performances from domestic and abroad artists, 'Kid's Fun Lab' with experience program for kids are the best indoor performance halls.)
'천막극장' 공연은 정말 예술이에요. 공연 한 시간 전에 대기표를 받고 20분 전에 입장하는 게 이래서였구나, 감탄이 절로 나오지요. 잠깐! 어린이가 있다면 '어린이 극장' 안 가시면 두고두고 후회하실 거예요. '가루야가루야'라는 프로그램으로 어린이가 좋아하는 '체험'을 할 수 있거든요.
(The performance of 'Tent Theater' is really artistic. It is no wonder why one must wait for the performance 20 minutes before and also receive the ticket one hour before. Wait a minute! if you have children, you will be have regret of not going to 'Kid's Fun Lab'. Through the program 'Flour, Flour', children can 'experience' what they love.)
"야외공연장에서 즐기는 명품 공연"

박람회장에는 광장이 셋 있어요. 먼저 '엑스포광장'. 대규모 관람석에 분수까지 있어 시원하지요. 여기에서 러시안 서커스, 합류난장 퍼포먼스, 판줄 등의 공연이 이어지고 있어요. 특히, 비트 있게 연주하는 드럼 소리에 사자의 탈을 쓴 배우가 보여준 팀윈 라이온댄스시어터 공연, 환상이에요.
(There are three great plazas in Expo. First of all, 'Expo Plaza'. It has large scale seats and cool fountains. There are constant performances such as Russian Circus, Joint Mass performance, and Panjool(tightrope walking). Especially, the Teamwin Lion Dance Theater performance in which the lion masked actor performs with strong bit music, it is fantastic.)
해양문명도시관 앞에 위치한 '야외광장'은 아르헨티나, 부르키나파소, 캄보디아, 부르나이, 리투아니아 문화공연이 준비되어 있어요. 미국에서 온 세계적인 워터액션팀 아크로부포 공연은, 오페라 음악과 함께 우스꽝스러운 연기가 관객들의 자연스러운 참여를 이끌어 내는 명품이에요.
(There is Argentina, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Brunei, Lithuania cultural performance which are in the 'Outdoor Plaza' located in front of Marine Civilization & City Pavilion. The Acrobuffos performance of the world water action team from USA is the masterpiece to pull the natural participation from their funny performance with the opera music.)
그리고 오밀조밀한 공연이 계속되는 '기업광장'도 멋있지만, 그냥 '거리'에서 이루어지는 공연도 끝내줘요. 어디에선가 환호하는 소리가 들리면, 거기에는 틀림없이 거리문화공연이 열리고 있을 거예요. 키다리아저씨 퍼레이드, 동상마임도 대단하지만, 공중부양 '상상 발전소'는 놀랍고 신기해요.
(And while 'Company Plaza' performing elaborate plays constantly is nice, the performance in the 'Street' is great. When you hear some cheering sound, it must be the street performance somewhere. While daddy-long-legs parade and statue mime is wonderful, levitation 'Imagination plant' is amazing and marvelous.)

2012여수엑스포 열기가 점점 뜨거워지고 있어요. 오페라에서 케이팝까지 다양한 공연이 해상에서 펼쳐지고 있기 때문일 거예요. 그중에서 메인이벤트는 빅오 해상무대에서 보는 멀티미디어쇼지요. 박람회 기간 내내 주간과 야간에 공연이 이어지는데, 이걸 놓치면 '2012년'의 절반을 놓친 거예요.
(2012 Yeosu Expo is more and more heated. Maybe it is because various performances from opera to K-pop are playing on the Ocean Stage. Among them, the main show and big event is a multi media show in front of the Big-O ocean stage. Since it is performed during the Expo day and night, you may not miss this. If you miss this, you will miss a half of '2012.')
먼저, 오후 2시에 펼쳐지는 '꽃 피는 바다'는 스토리가 있는 쇼예요. 한국적인 마당놀이와 길거리 퍼포먼스도 멋지지만, 해상 스턴트쇼와 와이어로프와 트램펄린을 활용한 무희들의 아슬아슬한 공중서커스에 이르러서는 함성을 지르지 않을 수 없어요. 여름 무더위를 확 날려 줄 거예요.
(First of all, 'the Flowering Ocean' at 2 o'clock in the afternoon is the show with a story. While the Korean madangnori and street performance is great, the stunt show and the hairy air circus of the dancer using the wire rope and trampolin will be really thrilling. It cools the hot summer down certainly.)
그리고 '엑스포의 꽃'이라 할 밤 9시 빅오쇼! 수십 미터 물줄기를 쏘아 올리는 분수쇼로 분위기를 잡다가, 화려한 불꽃쇼로 열기를 더한 뒤, 음악에 맞춰 펼쳐지는 레이저쇼는 환상이에요. 그러고 이어지는 워터커튼을 스크린 삼아 연출되는 3D 홀로그램과 레이저 영상. 그만 할래요. 직접 보세요.
(And Big-O show at 9 in the evening should be called 'the flower of Expo'! With the fountain show shooting up for several dozen meters as it is starting, consequently the brilliant fire show and laser show performing with the music is fantastic. The consequent 3D hologram and laser image into the water curtain as a screen is technologically forward thinking. I will not speak anymore. Please observe it in person.)

확실히 여수엑스포는 낮보다 밤이 더 화려해요. 불빛이 더해 주는 화려한 분위기도 감미롭지만, 밤바다에서 불어오는 해풍을 맞으며 즐기는 공연은 그 어디에서도 느낄 수 없는 시원한 맛을 더하거든요.
(Certainly, Yeosu Expo is brilliant at night, better than day time. While the light adds the luxurious atmosphere, the performances enjoyed with breezy ocean wind is the additional freshness which cannot be felt in anywhere.)
이대로 가다간, "프랑스에는 파리 에펠탑이 있다면, 대한민국에는 여수 빅오가 있다"는 말이 나올지도 몰라요. 여수엑스포와 함께, 2012년이 주는 삶을 200% 즐기지 않으시겠어요. 이제 엑스포는 두 달도 채 안 남았네요.
(At this rate, it may be said "There is an Eiffel Tower in France, there is a Big-O in Korea." With Yeosu Expo, why don't you enjoy the life in 2012 with 200%? Now, there are only two months go with the Expo.)
